Objectives:

The Action Centre for Smart and Broadband Bharat (ACSBB) has the following objectives:

I. To contribute, partner, collaborate and execute with National and International Governments / Governmental entities, Private Enterprises, Non-Government organizations in various project implementations, bring technological and managerial expertise, carrying out feasibility studies and to take forward other consulting assignments

II. To act, strategize; keep a watch on the development of technologies, project design, execution and implementation with different entities and empowering the masses in India through rolling out of robust, cost effective and world-class services

III. To help develop the right kind of cost effective strategy through international collaborations which can benefit the various economic sections of the Indian society, particularly people living in the rural areas, and also for replicating and to make it a source of implementation of similar projects in other developing parts of the world.

IV. To work in close association with BBNL (Bharat Broadband Network Limited), USOF (Universal Service Obligation Funds), DeitY, State Governments etc. for selection of the right kind of technologies, development and deployment of projects, quality control,, impact analysis and to gauge and modify the services as per the requirements

V. To closely work with various Governmental agencies, International fund agencies etc. for development of Smart Cities (Smart sanitation, Smart transport, Smart education, Public Wi-Fi, Public Health, Public Security, Disaster management etc.),Internet of Things (IOT), Development of new business models and for using these towards infrastructural development, which in turn are expected to enhance the skills, generate employment and business opportunities, both in the rural as well as urban India.

VI. Disseminate learning from various Indian projects in other countries/ markets that might be beneficial for transfer of information, knowledge and expertise to be replicated for overall benefit of the nation

VII. To work as a Think-Tank to suggest evolution of technologies from Indian perspective, bridging technological gaps, to modulate regulatory and policy regime for achieving the end results and suggest new ways of network implementation for the growth of economy.

VIII. Develop and propose solutions for digitization of Legal/Court Services in India in close consultation with the Indian National Bar Association.

IX. Develop and propose solutions for Digital Education/ Skill Development in India.
